I record original arrangements, part by part. Once these recordings are shared with my students, using the ancient practice of oral tradition, they listen at home  and learn to sing harmony in community!

My harmony groups are a special joy to lead..

At the Fenix with Nancy Norquist a couple years back,  singing a favorite Patty Griffin song.. -   When it Don't Come Easy

  Maia Sinaiko was  student of mine from the age of 10.  I shot the video of her battle of the bands in middle school playing with my son Zack. She always loved Patti Smith. Maia wrote and sang in her own unique style, a  distillation of her influences and has become a successful recording artist, and  touring musician.  A couple years ago at the Fillmore seeing Patti, out of the blue she got pulled up on stage.. check this out!
